One of the reasons I stopped developing for FreeCAD was that I noticed the issue with AI and devs. And expected it to get way worse as AI tools were getting better. Most OSS banning AI including FreeCAD, sounds fun on paper but it's like banning auto-complete, it's ineffective and contra-productive. It's more a decision that is made to look like you're on some moral high ground, it's purely a political statement as it's impossible to reinforce.
