"Divers" means "miscellaneous" and is explicitly _not_ a gender, but just a marker in your document because Germans are obsessed with sex.
"d" was introduced in job descriptions at the same time, while still ignoring people without a gender marker in their papers.
Since 2023, you can change your gender markers somewhat freely to one of these options.

@ShadowJonathan @ClipHead @bleeptrack Removing the gender marker is now becoming more popular, but there still is barely any public awareness about it. Don't ask why a job description should list federal gender markers at all. That has to do with how shitty the German language and how deep the broom is.
