@lednaBM @arrrg 'While I will not deny the historic role it played in art, that pales in comparison to the excuses it presents for people to be horrible himan beings....' It's a normal human impulse to wonder about our place in the universe, and that kind of speculation is at the root of all human culture, not just art. We all create life-worlds based on unverifiable assumptions, even atheists. Religion is neither good nor evil, it's how people use it.
