@gecole Yikes! Not nice when someone feels they can reach through the fence to cut off scapes in your garden. I'm sorry that happened.
I have a small area for my garlic, and planted around 30. All have germinated but now I'm looking around the yard for where to rotate next year. Guess I'll be expanding more beds.
Do you feed your garlic in spring?

@redcrew More beds indeed....we're always needing to expand, aren't we. As for feeding, I pull aside the bed of leaf mulch that I laid over them in Nov, and then I generally just add some compost worked gently into top inches of soil. That's all I've ever done for the garlics. How about you? Do you recommend more food?
