@sandwich i think lots of men who say this identify with the group of men and treat the whole issue as a "us vs them" kind of dynamic, a sort of spinal cord reaction, a desire to protect the bros from an attack so to speak; it's not that they desire to dismiss anyone's experience, more like it kind of never occurs to them to consider it
