@sarahdalgulls IMO - whenever I've seen these types of scams I've mostly ignored them, based on the fact I know they are scams. However, the few times when one of these has actually looked legitimate I've done something the scammers don't expect: I check the bank account, credit card, or whatever would be affected.  IE, I go to the source that would be affected instead of going to their fake links. I generally check these sources for anything that looks out of the ordinary: credits or debits that I don't recognize. If I don't recognize a transaction, I dig into that transaction to verify it. If I can't verify I contact the bank, credit card, or whichever entity I need to for further investigation. This, IMO, I think is one of the best ways to handle this situation... It's an asymmetric response that scammers cannot control. How many times have I had to employ it? I think twice in the past five years. But I'm more scam aware than a lot of non-technical people, so I hope this is good advice, especially when something like this comes up.
