Very true, but I'm not sure the average AOL user in 1992 knew they even had an aol.com address... My first aol.com address was a holdover from when my AppleLink Personal Edition account was absorbed into the AOL ecosystem. That was probably in the very early 90s.

@boelder At least where I lived, most of the early email addresses were just from your local ISP that you used for dial-up. The aforementioned early email "SaaS" companies (obviously not what they were called then) were a novelty of the late nineties.
