@boelder i go back a bit as well, where my pacbell dot net address was a unique one that didnt need to have numbers or other charcters added, then later yahoo. I think I also had a concentric dot net account somewhere. I've always avoided apple, Microsoft, later google, etc.
Ahhhh the ancient world. No more free mail accounts/traps for me, lol.

@jbrownesq I did a little research and apparently Yahoo was founded the month I started working at Apple (Jan 1994), so my initial statement was sort of wrong. However, Yahoo only started offering email services in 1997, and I did have those previously mentioned addresses before 1997.
