Spent the last few days doing some tidying-upping of the Wakamai Fondue codebase. Feels *good* to finally scratch some of those itches. Most of it was simply moving code around, de-bloating large functions, and some general mise-en-place for upcoming features. Also, OpenType feature detection is more robust and doesn't take down the entire "Layout Features" section anymore if it encounters something it doesn't understand! \o/ https://wakamaifondue.com/beta/ #WakamaiFondue #fonts #webdev

Next up is addressing two annoyances: 1. Create a better overview of all the variable instances. The button-with-small-preview approach seemed good at the time, but meh. It becomes a wall of unparsable yellow. 2. Stop trying to be smart about the OpenType layout feature previews. This also seemed like a good idea at the time: take the characters involved in the feature and mix them up in an attempt to trigger the OpenType feature. What was I thinking?!

@pixelambacht@typo.social drag-and-drop doesn't seem to work with Firefox on macOS, is that a known thing? (click to upload works).

@pixelambacht@typo.social This is nice "This is a color font with TrueType glyf outlines and COLR color glyphs. It has 83 characters and 16317 glyphs, and 11 layout features. "; 16,317 glyphs, hehe
