@Gulleko Takashi Miike’s Audition (1999). It starts slow, basically as a weird romcom, and then suddenly takes a turn to the buck wild.
There is a brief mention of past self harm and suicide attempt from a minor character. Nothing is shown, it’s never brought up again, and it’s not relevant to the plot.
