@capn_b @plyspomitox who the heck associates "marketplace" with violence. Trade is perhaps *the* biggest anti-war effort you can have. Having a library as a metaphor and letting the best book win by popularity / merit is just the exact same analogy with different wording. I'm not saying popularity and merit are the same and I am not saying any of the two analogies are even good. I am saying it's the same analogy. Books fight no more or less for your attention than any other sortiment
