@madalex That's definitely the right call. I hope it won't have to come to that again and that he got his wake up call. He could at least safe guard the window with a cat-proof net or something similar, if he wants to leave it open when nobody's home that badly. They sell these things all over the place for this exact reason.

@fringemagnet The way I see it they let out the cat, the cat - being a cat - decided no, I don't want to come back in just yet, and they closed the window on the cat and headed out, presumably to teach the cat a lesson; obviously the person trying to teach the lesson has no clues about cats.
