it's like splitting the month into thirds. first two thirds are 10 days each and the last third contains the month's leftovers. sometimes it's 10, sometimes more, sometimes less
not sure why it appeals so much, i like how it stretches across a little more than week? ~10d feels like a good amount of time!

@cblgh I found that 14 is like the perfect amount of time for stuff(at the pace of my life anyways), everything can be started and finished in 14, less is not enough, more, is too many. Upper/lower-jun is cool tho
