@deborahh I didn't say they are exactly the same. There are differences. BUT cameras are designed to replicate the visible light spectrum *as close as possible*. They're made to produce colours people can see.
However, actually captured colours can be amplified to look vivid.
And cameras can be be modified to capture light outside of the visible spectrum but in such case, invisible light is used to produce different colours from the visible spectrum (e.g IR photography)

@devnull @alpacamale @leaverou it's fascinating. I had no idea, before today, that we have gaps in colour perception, and that digital cameras are adjusted to simulate this! #TIL
