@tea have you tried obsidian as the organizing layer for your markdown repo?
I tried to use it and have many friends who actually use it and like it.

@treby I have, yes. While I suppose it's convenient for linking thoughts and search is OK, I found it a hassle to work with when it comes to media. Also the git integration was a mess.
