A year later and a good chunk of my personal note taking is still on discord.
I've been procrastinating on exporting my discord server messages as markdown and deleting that shit x_x
I've moved some things to a syncthing-ed obsidian vault & while it's nice, but I feel like it serves a different purpose: more intentional, less spontaneous diary & quick notes. And media is much more annoying, search way worse.

@tea I got told about https://usememos.com/ but not sure how it handles media Also, they aren't self hosting, but have you tried cryptpad or Proton Docs?
