(1/2) @jeremy_pm > bankrupt USA, now essentially insolvent with a $41T debt I wonder if future generations will be organising social movements to protest against the onerous "structural adjustment" imposed on countries in the former USA, as the descendents of their creditors try make the descendents of the current US population pay back all those debts ... @TreeStarMan

(2/2) It's not just me now predicting the imminent breakup of the US, USSR-style. Political scientist and former Pentagon analyst Paul Buchanan is now saying it's likely, to anyone who'll listen. He makes the salient point that it's much more obvious from out here on the periphery than inside the US, where hypernormalization is in full swing. #USA #hypernormalization #USBreakup2040

@strypey @jeremy_pm yeah, that’s a scary proposition for them. However, I’m not convinced Trump is smart enough to see any of this. He comes across as basically an egotistical, demented moron.

@strypey @jeremy_pm @TreeStarMan Might be hard to pay back with the death of the US dollar as a global currency, and since it’s a fiat currency, those descendants had better start getting some yuan before the shit hits the fan.
