@chris_colvin @mayintoronto I sometimes use Google Search (although it's not my primary search engine any more), and I infrequently consult Google Maps, especially for Streetview. And the work phone is Android because work is not going to pay extra there (but I don't actually use it¹).
¹ it's a backup for our VoIP phones, runs the mandatory authenticator app™, and gives me a test Android device. The path of least resistance with it was a Google account with bonus GMail, that I ignore.

@chris_colvin @mayintoronto Reading the replies reminded me of Youtube, and after thinking about it I will half-heartedly argue that I don't truly use Youtube, although I visit it when people put their videos on it. My visits are very 'one and done' affairs: I watch the video and then close the tab. I have autoplay off and ignore the sidebar and further viewing suggestions (and no YT login/etc). Is this making excuses for how inescapable YT is for videos? Somewhat.
