Had the air conditioning on my car ‘recharged’ today. Many years ago I used to work on Jaguars and used to use R12 gas to charge them. There were no regulations governing the use of R12back then. The recharge has cost me £130, I’m delighted to say that this procedure is now fully regulated and the print out supplied tells me many things, the most important is that the garage I use are qualified to carry out the job. Yes £130 is expensive, but meeting current requirements is priceless.
