I had my electric bike stolen yesterday, 2 meters behind my head while I ordered food at a cafe. Feels very violating.
Happy ending is that I hide a tracker inside it and managed to find where they had stashed it. They stole about $100 worth of my stuff (bags, water bottle, bike chain) but I’ll take it as a win.

@harrym@aus.social after reading this, I’m feeling less like I’m paranoid now when I go for a quick ride to the shops and spend more time locking my bike up than going into the store and ordering. What tracker do you use, btw?
