Last summer before a trip, I found out EZPass had deactivated our account due to inactivity. *Hilariously* when I looked up our account by the transponder codes...THEY HAD BEEN ASSIGNED TO ANOTHER USER. As in they don't use unique IDs! Their phone support would not provide a method to return the transponders....uh YOU cancelled my account with an email (that I missed). If you want them back, a postage paid envelope is not that expensive. Darn shame I have ethics and don't want the new user to get charged for a transponder glued to a service truck that frequents DCs growing toll roads LOL Also in my best (terrible) Fletch impersonation "I charged it to the Underhill's card. Want the number?"
