So I've been thinking about this for a few months now, and I've come to the decision that I want to basically shut down PKU Talk Mastodon server. I want to do this at Christmas time.
I have a number of reasons:
1. Having to maintain a Mastodon server with moderation etc is a lot of faff
2. There aren't many people on this PKU Talk Mastodon server to really justify the cost of operating the server
3. (The real reason) I'm honestly a bit fed up of social media in general. It is incredibly bleak

I'm in two minds whether to keep my Blueksy account. On the one hand there are a lot more active PKU folks on Bluesky (this I like). On the other hand Bluesky is filled with so much political crap that I genuinely find it hard to enjoy.
