Lately many sites have been requesting you create a "passkey" I assume that is because they want to link it to a digital ID in the future and this is a major step towards that.
Instead of having a username and password you will be required to have the digital ID to login to everything.

@Arkana As far as I can tell passkeys are a misguided attempt to do more secure authentication. Didn't get any sense they'd in the future be linked to some sort of "digital ID" of the sort we wonder about, but maybe that would be a proposed solution to the problems they create. :cirno_shrug:
