@stagerabbit I have never been *properly* banked in Japan, and even if still sort of worked, there are so many things you can’t do, and things you really have to do that you need friends to help you with. And I was lucky that I had the financial means to pay for six months of rent in advance, otherwise I don’t know what I would have done. In Sweden you aren’t even able to pay for most things in person if you’re not banked, and you’re completely locked out of enormous parts of society.
