@festal Maybe, but according to this, 'frontier' models are just a year ahead of the freeware models. Might change but it seems totally possible some firms will invest in competitive training the road ahead even when the VC bubble finally bursts.

@frumble tx. Interesting. A bit like DeepSeek showing that you can do much the same for less. Self-hosting, however, has always been a hard proposition, and I'm not sure it will change here. But it will could make the service landscape much more competitive.
