I showed my dad how to use archive.is to get around paywalled articles, and now he emails me asking me to do the "archive.is trick" every time he finds a paywalled article he wants to read 🫠

@akahn Create a bookmark and set the text below as the URL, put that on his bookmark bar, and then that'll go to archive.is for any page he's on just by hitting the button (it's an example of a "bookmarket") javascript:var baseURL ='https://archive.is/newest/';location.href=baseURL+location.href
