@ryanprior perhaps it's more a misjudgment that questions about the original email are of value to everyone?
Then the discussion would be much better off in a different form than email. No business I know uses it, but Lemmy works for me.

@RoastbeefHashTag I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt when they reply all that maybe they thought their response would be valuable to the group, even if it's just "Thanks, got it! -me" The only time I talk to somebody about it one on one is when they blast out a message that they definitely didn't intend, like if they're gossiping about someone. But if you get in a habit of shooting off quick email replies without being careful about the user interface, a mishap becomes inevitable.
