@arcanechat i am doing Parla for fun in my spare time, not because any monetary interest or request from any funding and I am not part of the deltachat or chatmail devteam. I just tried to clarify the confussion as some people thought that was not the case.
But yeah i use jsonrpc and chatmail servers, but i think it’s misleading to mix both topics in the same post for the stated reasons. Nevertheless I’m happy to see interest in making chatmail better and supporting it in any way, even economically.

@pancake in my opinion there is no mix of topic, it is fair that you want things clearer and I think that is the case already in the post since it says ArcaneChat et al. are not funded by that money but it is fair to mention the software that gets powered by that chatmail core because otherwise seeing as a separated thing people might think "ok who cares?" without realizing it is a fundamental part of several other projects that completely depend on it, so supporting it has way higher impact
