What's the most abstract board/card game you ever played? With abstract I mean that it doesn't fall on the other types of art for the art stuff and that you can say the gameplay itself is art. #BoardGames #CardGames #Games

@Genstar@meow.social makes me think of (This Game Is) Bonkers, a rather simple roll-and-move with a gimmick that becomes tedious quickly: all the spaces are blank, but you can draw and place cards that do things like move ahead/behind X spaces.

@Genstar@meow.social Zendo revels in its abstractness and it's a real banger. At most, you can say that the stacks of colored blocks are "sort of like rocks in a zen garden", which is already pretty abstract. The gameplay is "logical induction": every block arrangement is flagged "true" or "false" by the GM, and the players win if they guess the rule, for example "there must be a piece stacked on another piece" or "there must not be any red pieces".
