I'm noticing that more people are generally apathetic about politics. In particular many feel they don't have any influence or control over what's happening in the news, and so don't engage.
I'm having to personally avoid the news because I'm finding it too upsetting.
Sadly, this is precisely what the fascists want.

@Shivviness yeah, I also avoid the major news sources, usually just read what the people I follow write or my friends and family forward, which is very pre-filtered and usually interesting to me :)) Also this way it's a much better mix of articles!

@Shivviness Like the funniest part is, whenever a new military conflict happens I usually first learn of it from Mastodon ;)
