The inherent risk in writing a letter to your future self is of course that your future self will disappoint your past self.

@extraface@xoxo.zone Hopefully your current self will be kind, because the world has thrown a lot at us all that our past selves didn't see coming. (My past self could've made better decisions. That guy definitely could've done better. And could've cut down on the snacks, too...)
