Btw my GUADEC 2026 talk has been accepted! It&#39;s titled &quot;Performance profiling Mutter, GNOME Shell &amp; apps with Tracy&quot;. I&#39;ll show you (the developers) how to use Tracy [1] for diagnosing performance problems in your GNOME apps and system components, along with examples from the work I did for the GNOME STF. @YaLTeR@mastodon.online I would be curious to know if it still requires hefty amounts of patched systems packages for mutter and gnome-shell, or if this all works with vanilla versions nowadays? This had been one of the main reasons I haven't done new profiling to report remaining slowdown issues in the latest versions, occurring after multiple days of session uptime (which I believe @TheEvilSkeleton@social.treehouse.systems experienced as well) :blobmiou:
