@freddy@social.security.plumbing yeah, this is the horrible conclusion I had a while ago too. I'm lucky enough to not be responsible for user safety, and I can still avoid these systems and will do everything in my power to do so. It's hard for me to hold a grudge against people trying to do good while remaining critical of these systems. The uncritical use of these systems kills me, and it's so ubiquitous. I still struggle to see how these systems will ever result in a net positive for humanity.
