Walked down a neighborhood street I don’t usually take, passed a chicken coop, and said “Hello, ladies!” like I always do. Usually chickens ignore me, but these came bustling over and hopped up onto a wooden perch. They practically pointed at a box attached to the outside of the coop, labeled WHAT’S IN THE BOX? I opened it… dried mealworms, a couple inches deep.
Turns out I like hand-feeding chickens more than I dislike grabbing dead worms.
