I remember when I sold TVs and a male customer came in often and took my friendly sales lady behavior as interested-in-him behavior. Uh, no, dude. It was literally my job to be friendly to you. Do you see the name tag and how I am just in one area of the store where I sell things? On regular days and times of the week?
(I'm also a friendly person in general, but I don't mistake the oil change guy smiling and greeting me as I walk in his shop as anything else.)
