i read "genai code is useless" so often. i don't get it, are we talking about the same thing? When i tell glm-5 to refactor some code in order to eliminate global vars and replace them with semantically reasonable structs that live in the local scope of some function using the api, it just does that. I overall need to spend less time on cleaning up after others. A few years ago i was programming some arduino stuff for my dad. The library for the LED matrices he bought was awful: it used global vars, so that you can only use 1 led matrix on an arduino. i rewrote the entire lib, because of this shit. i don't believe genai can write C code better than me, but i do believe it can create code, that is better than the code created by people who just want to get things done and are not passionated about programming.
