I believe that, for some reason, he was not on a cross, but on an upright stake. Don't remember if they believe he got nailed to it or tied with a rope. This is the least consequencial of their many extremely incorrect beliefs, certainly nowhere near their policy of shunning dissidents or not allowing blood transfusions.
