@grunge_fox @FawnOverFun While I love the Arch Wiki, it has it's problems. I do recommend people who are slightly interesting in Linux do try installing something like Arch and/or Gentoo. Like they do have a difficulty curve but I felt after installing it for the first time that I actually *got* how Linux works, therefore cause resolve problems far easier because I knew how the system worked because I was the one to design it in a way. Which also made me somewhat addicted to sticking with it to learn. It's actually kind of a great feeling when you guide a friend through it who has never actually used Linux seeing them quickly learn and grow familar even over a hour. Because you seem them actually enjoy it and the thrill of when their hard work leads to a login screen.
