Spent the weekend in Cambridge at the Ascension Parish Ground where my teacher Eric Marland set up his workshop in the old chapel. I should have returned sooner…

Eric’s commemoration was touching and moved everybody to tears (yep, even the Brits, not just me the emotional Italian). He will be remembered as an altruistic teacher, a loving husband and dad, and a great lettercarver.

This memorial was carved by Eric. Unfortunately the sun was not in a great position to take a photo, but I should have an old one from 2019. Recently repainted by Rachael M. Butler, his latest apprentice.
