@arafel @webhat the swirls mean, that the producer of the package is organised with this scheme and you can throw the stuff into the bin for the swirl. Otherwise the producer of the package would have to organise a private scheme to collect the package when it is empty. All producers have to meet a quota of recycling their packages. This is also done via the scheme. But don't get starry eyed yet; recycling can also be energetically, meaning it will get burned and the energy is used for electricity or warmth. Ok still better than the old system where it came from, where all the stuff was just buried in the ground. Why I know all this stuff? I studied it, failed my exam and went into IT
