Are you sure it's not to protect the children?! In all seriousness, that's absolutely true. What's even more insidious and disgusting is the fact that it not only compromises their ability to be the only "authority" on information, they hate the fact that low level perverts can horn in on their prior monopoly of access to vulnerable kids for their sexual abuse.
