    @Virginicus Ok then, "Trifouilly-les-Oies" or "Perpète-les-Oies" is a fictive place that symbolizes the most remote country village you could imagine, the kind of place you'll find in France with a bunch of old houses and farms, less than 500 inhabitants and more farm animals. When you say "il/elle habite à Perpète, à Perpète-les-Oies, à Trifouilly-les-Oies", it means that person lives in a very remote place far from towns. In my region people also said "Perpètes-les-Alouettes", cause it rhymes.
