I've had a variable energy contract for a while now. Even when I don't always use it as efficient, I like it over paying a flat fee. The energy market is a commodity, when more is produced and less is used, prices go down. Sometimes the prices go way in the red, which is quite exciting. I've screengrabbed the with and without tax graphs, which go deep in the red for a few hours.
