@Tarah Go into the extension settings, ensure it's on at least Optimal for default.
Some more granularity with other settings, including lists, and dev mode.

@neurovagrant @Tarah I use uBO Lite (it defaults to Optimal) and it works well for me. It works great in Chrome, Edge and Safari, and still has options to get more aggressive by enabling additional block lists.
