@antiaall3s maybe it's a nostalgia thing? The world felt good and hopeful when they were young, and now everyone hates everything. Maybe, if they pretend they're young, things feel hopeful again? Maybe they've had their fill of being responsible adults and now the kids have left home they can have the freedom to act out?
