I haven’t eaten at Long John Silver’s in over 30 years. I was just a young kid then and I didn’t even like seafood. I did like their hush puppies. What I remember most was the decor. It was a core memory for me. The place was decorated like you’d expect to see in Treasure Island. Tropical island theme, shipwrecked cargo and nautical imagery. It’s really what a family restaurant should be! Now I love seafood but LJS doesn’t seem to exist in Canada anymore? Makes me quite sad, even though it sounds like their food was bad anyway. I really love a good fish and chips. Maybe some other restaurant would step up with that style of decor?
