Almost finished #projecthailmary and the most unrealistic part is that Humanity comes together to face a common threat, agreeing that monetary cost doesn't matter in this case. Andy weir spent so much time to get the science stuff right, he forgot to turn on the news in the last 10 years. And this hopeful perspective is by far the best part of the whole book.
