PocketOS’s disastrous problems with Claude are being wrongly framed.
The company lost most of its live data, and a lot of backups. A lot of the reports blame the AI agent Claude for the loss.
Blaming the AI agent is missing the point, utterly. The actual reason for the loss is incompetency on the part of whomever allowed any automated system the ability to delete such data in the first place, without the intervention of multiple humans. The fact that it was an AI agent is almost irrelevant, it could have been a software bug, or some sort of cascading failure in design.
This is why Pull Requests were invented.
This is not a defence of AI agents btw.

Handing over the keys to automation is NOT absolving yourself of responsibility. This goes for any automation, self driving vehicles, nuclear power station control, anything. If you remove the air gap, you expose the gap between your ears. #ai
