@CmykStudent If it could work the way some apps like Firefox do that would be cool. Firefox has some setting (or env var, I forget) that says "please use the XDG portal" so on KDE desktops I get the KDE file chooser.

@woltiv @CmykStudent While it's great the option is there, it shouldn't be opt-in, but set by default. The more experienced users will eventually figure it out, but an average user might never get to see the native file picker in Firefox. But OS and software consistency is important, especially to convince new users to stick to Linux!
