My newer iphone constantly tries to use 5G instead of LTE when there's hardly any 5G signal, and it sucks pretty bad when it does that. I have to force it to LTE by disabling 5G... then it will work. My experience is that 5G is not "rural friendly"!
We had the best rural cell service I've seen anywhere, with US Cellular. T-Mobile bought them out, and now it sucks. They constantly try to force us onto 5G that has no signal.

@FPV_Flyer@squawk.mytransponder.com yeah, so far so good on signal. Saw 957 mbp/s down yesterday on T-Mobile 5G LTE. But I had to work out several more kinks moving from iPhone 8 to iPhone 15. Little stuff, Carplay not working in our 2017 Honda Civic (fixed now), audio not going to hearing aids (and settings not sticking), updated all the apps and had to re-login to many of them. Overall, not as bad as I expected. Now just have to notify people with new number. I am sure I will forget a few.
